The Redland City Council local government area is in South East Queensland, spanning 537 km² with over 335 km of coastline and a population exceeding 166,000. The Council manages a wide range of community facilities such as parks, playgrounds, sports fields, swimming pools, libraries, and cultural and recreational spaces that support active and connected local communities.

Purely Access conducted detailed access audits of community buildings, some of which were designated evacuation centres, to assist council to identify and prioritise upgrades. Our reports focused on providing clear, detailed and actionable recommendations to ensure the whole community can benefit from safe refuge during natural disasters and to enable council to make informed decisions about budget allocation for future works.
